      Novotel Birmingham
Service comes with a smile at the Novotel Birmingham
Our roving eye gives Novotel Birmingham on Broad Street the “thumps up” for service.

The hotel is well situated on Broad Street a busy main street of Birmingham. It has its own private car park. The lift to the lobby however, does not start from the car park and even though they suggest that you contact them to help you with your luggage, it is a bit awkward to get up the steep stairs to alert someone so guests may be inclined to carry their own luggage up the stairs.

      Bedrooms
The hotel has 148 rooms made up of 138 non-smoking rooms, 4 accessible rooms, free for 2 kids under 16 sharing their parents’ room and welcomes pets. The rooms were all standard and moderately furnished with a nice sized flat screen TV. Very clean and presentable on arrival, with tea and coffee making facilities available and were well stocked.

      Bathroom accessories
The bathroom was very clean and spacious – bath and shower. There was shower gel, shampoo and two small bars of soap together with plastic cups for mouth wash.

      Techs and Gadgets
There is free WiFi available only in the lobby area. There is also hi-speed internet connection available in the rooms at the cost of £12.99 for 24 hours.

      Food and Drink
The lobby and bar were spacious and user-friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced and bar stays open until midnight. The restaurant was medium and serves a buffet style breakfast with full English and continental choices.

Other comments: The hotel caters for the meetings and events trade so service comes with a smile irrespective of the number of persons in the lobby. Staff in this hotel are very aware of the essence of customer service and do not fail to display it in every possible opportunity. The facilities in this hotel are average but are carefully managed by the hotel staff. NB: Hotel staff this hotel were unaware of the identity of our Roving Eye.
