The Grand Hotel Kempinski opens its Spa with a Special Dior Collection
On 21st September 2010, all roads led to the Quai du Mont-Blanc in Geneva. This is the day when the exclusive Grand Hotel Kempinski overlooking the magnificent Mont-Blanc the famous Jet d’Eau and the French Alps opened its wellness and fitness centres in style.
The event started with a Dior fashion show with supermodels showcasing the latest Dior collection to guests. This was then followed by the official opening of the 1,400 sq metres of floor space Spa and Fitness centre two luxurious levels. The spa and fitness Centre is designed by Tarek Hegazy, Architect, President and CEO of Living Design. In designing the spa, Tarek has carefully selected natural materials like dark wood and bamboo, as well as delicate mosaics and fresh flowers to accentuate the elegance and warmth in the treatment rooms. The floors are marble balanced with a golden ceiling to add a refined atmosphere. All these are complimented with a subtle scent of sandalwood and amber diffused throughout to awaken the visitor’s senses.
The Spa has twelve large treatment rooms, a traditional Hamman with two scrubbing rooms, a post treatment rand oversized relaxation area, a yoga room, an expansive VIP suite complete with private Hamman and oversized tub, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and the largest, private indoor pool in Geneva.
For treatments, Jean-Louis Poiroux’s award-winning Cinq Mondes brand has created therapies exclusively for the centre including massages, aromatherapy and cosmetics. Jean-Louis says that he has spent several years travelling the globe to discover five ancestral cultures and sought for best treatments, massages and cosmetic products possible for the Spa so as to offer the best Beauty Rituals of the World.
The Cinq Mondes brand is based on plant extracts and respects the five formulation principles.
