No-one can never complain of not being full after a meal at Dylan McGrath’s Rustic Stone on Dublin’s St Georges Street. As for service, it does not just come with a smile, it comes on all fours.
The restaurant adopts an old Spanish technique which is unique to the restaurant. Meat and fish dishes are accompanied on a hot volcanic stone which customers cook themselves. According to Rustic Stone, this method, while adding an element of theatre to the meal also allows the customer the opportunity to cook their fish or meat exactly how they like it. The portions in the menus are generous and it includes salads with dressings carefully chosen by Dylan and separately served alongside the salad.
Dylan McGrath opened Rustic Stone in 2010 as a casual dining contemporary restaurant which delivers on the flavours he is so passionate about, but without all the fuss that usually comes with fine dining. The main concept is to add creativity and flavour to the finest ingredients in the most nutritious way possible.
The restaurant is a fun, inviting and relaxed place to eat and comes highly recommended.
