Hotel reviews as they should be – find out what makes each of the hotels suitable for your needs. We have covered a wide range to make easier for you to understand the real value for money factor. Our reviews are detailed and paints a clear picture for your personal appreciation.

      Kempinski Hotel Corvinus – Budapest
As much as I would like to fault the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, I cannot find any…

Right in the heart of Budapest, only a few minutes away from the pedestrian zone and the Danube; alight at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus and the excellent service starts from the door. There is no doubt the hotel offers the finest standards in hospitality. This is the 4th Kempinski hotel I have stayed in and this is one leaps to the top of the list. Could these standards be linked to the fact that it is situated in Budapest? No – it is simply because every staff in the hotel appears to enjoy what they do and do it diligently. They smile, make you feel special and it also has a nudist spa!
The hotel itself lives up to its name and provides exquisite luxury, superior service and perfect comfort. It is so successful that during my stay, it was bustling with guests from all over the world and every guest had nothing but praise.

The concierge team especially ensure that you perfectly enjoy your stay in Budapest. Kempinski Hotel Corvinus is named after the Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus, known as “Matthias the Just”.

      A business hotel with a family-friendly attitude

Quite deservedly the hotel does him justice. King Matthias ruled from 1458 to 1490 and is regarded as one of the founders of European humanism.Rooms at the hotel are very spacious, beautifully laid out and cosy. The hotel suites are exceptionally spacious and are laid out with every comfort. If you are in Budapest for business, choosing to stay at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus will be an excellent idea because the hotel offers wireless facilities throughout the hotel and you can also use your room TV as a work station for a fee, if you did not carry your laptop with you. Checking on your spending is easy and this is flagged to you regularly for you to check at your ease. You can get on with business without feeling the office void.

      Meetings, Conferences and Banqueting
There is also a business centre if you require a more formal approach. Other facilities include ample conference, meetings and banqueting facilities practically laid out to make any Board happy. In-house or out of house, the hotel’s banqueting staff cater adequately for business functions, private parties, fashion shows and absolutely any large function. If you cannot come to them, they are quite happy to come to you.

      Dining

Dining at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, is a different story altogether. Breakfast alone is a whole ‘funfair’. Apart from the array of breakfast selection you can choose from, I discovered that the Bistro Jardin where the breakfast buffet is laid out in the morning for guests is also the “gossip corner” for the variety of hotel guests from across the globe. The ambiance is absolutely fabulous and guests mingle freely while sharing touring tips.Evidently, everyone is happy when good food is on display but the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus’ breakfast experience puts more than a smile on the face.

During my visit, the hotel had just introduced an “Eat all you can” Sunday brunch. This takes place in the Bistro Jardin as well as on the hotel’s beautiful Kempinski Terrace which is only open from early Spring to late Autumn.

      Nightlife

The hotel is strategically situated in the city centre within easy reach of many nightlife activities, however, if you choose to stay in, nightlife in the hotel is equally fulfilling at the Corvinus Bar which is open from 8pm until 3am will provide you with a memorable evening. Depending on the day of the week guests are entertained by a variety of live bands.

The Spa and Fitness facilities and the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus – Budapest

Now this is the only place that if I really had to find a fault, I would stretch to find one. The hotel has an adequate gym and a mid-size pool but I do not feel that it big enough in proportion to the size of the hotel. The spa offers Thai treatments which I presume would be very stimulating because of its setting. It has a nudist steam and sauna section.

The nudist spa is conspicuously labelled as such but nudist or not one cannot resist relaxing in the steam and sauna facilities. Insecure guests like me can still cover up and enjoy the facilities. I am sure you can picture the scene as I sat in the herbal steam room all ‘cladded’ in full swimwear and was joined by four very fit-looking Swedish men in their full glory – hey – I did say that I couldn’t find any faults with the hotel!

Kempinski Hotel Corvinus – Budapest comes highly recommended.
