Corinthia London’s Dining Safari experience is divine. There is no simpler way to describe this experience than to simply implore you to try it.
Corinthia London’s dining safari experience is a unique way to sample the delights of all the Hotel’s Food and Beverage service at one sitting. It starts with a glass of Prosecco and a selection of antipasti in the classically laid out Massimo Restaurant. Corinthia’s Massimo restaurant serves authentic Italian fine dining food in the Art Deco in style restaurant. The Restaurant is lined with statuesque Corinthian columns, beautifully lit by hovering globe light fittings, and decorated with sleek mahogany and glossy marble, it is one of the most romantic restaurants in London.
Corinthia London is centrally located within walking distance of Trafalgar Square, Charing Cross, Covent Garden and London’s bustling Theatre district, and its Massimo Restaurant & Bar is perfectly positioned for the ultimate Italian experience.
After the antipasti at Massimo, you are then led through to Corinthia’s Northall where everything served is quintessentially English. This is the place to enjoy fresh and seasonal British Fare.
The Northall celebrates the Great British kitchen showcasing the breadth of Britain’s culinary strengths. The menu focuses on seasonality, sustainability, and traceability through close relationships with artisan producers.
The dining room has plush burnt orange leather offset by glittering mirrored panels and expansive picture windows, whilst two private dining areas offer privacy for special celebrations and corporate events.
The adjacent Northall Bar has a marble island, which creates the epitome of chic socialising in London. It’s the ideal place to meet for a glass of Champagne, wine or beer, to sip an aperitif or classic cocktail, and it offers an all-day light lunch and dinner menu for the casual diner.
During our visit, Northall’s Safari menu included a main course with a choice of:
28 Day Dry-aged Native Angus Grass-fed Beef Sirloin
served with air-dried Tomato and Field Mushrooms
Goosnargh Duck leg poached Rhubarb and horseradish Jus
Steamed Lemon Sole, Tender Broccoli with Smoked Garlic and Parsley Butter
Butternut Risotto, Cobb Nut and Cornish Yarg Cheese
Sides include
Creamed Spinach
Cauliflower Cheese
French Beans, Shallot Butter
New Potatoes, Mint Butter
Thin Fries, Cornish Yarg and Black Pepper
Chopped Kale and Walnut Salad
Tomato Salad
Autumn Leaf Salad
Dessert is then served at the timeless Crystal Moon Lounge renowned for its afternoon teas. Beneath the stunning Baccarat Chandelier in the Lounge, Safari diners have a choice of:
Salted Caramel Chocolate Bar, Poached Pear, Pear Jelly and Coco Nibs Foam
Exotic Fruit Eton Mess, Green Tea Meringue, Passion Fruit Curd, Yuzu Marmalade and Mango Coulis
Homemade Ice Cream and Sorbet Selection and Tuile
A selection of Artisanal Cheeses served with Fruit Chutney, Celery and Crackers
The journey then ends at the Bassoon Bar with a cocktail of their own choice from the Bassoon Classic Cocktail list. The Bassoon Bar describes itself as “a destination bar with attitude”. It was designed by David Collins Studio and combines a relaxed and intimate ambience with a stimulating dash of theatre. It pays homage to the arts of the finest bartenders in the capital. Bespoke cocktails, fine Champagnes and boutique spirits are served in elegant replicas of Queen Victoria’s glassware along a seven-metre bar that sweeps seamlessly into a Roland Piano.
Most evenings play host to the live music Signature Sessions, which have previously included performances from Lana Del Rey and the Scissor Sisters, and showcase the best music from breakthrough artists as well as established performers. With jazz-inspired art from William H Johnson and an Art Deco design signature, the spirit
