London is probably not the first place that comes to mind when you think about chic boutique hotels. When you mention hotels in London, most people think about design hotels, grand hotels and all things regal. However, London is deceptive, and really does have it all – chic, boutique, quirky – you name it London has it. Executive Traveller has hand-picked hotels and private meetings or events destinations which are private and unique.

Executive Traveller has hand-picked two hotels and private meetings or events destinations which are private and unique.
Located in the quiet Queen Anne Street to the north of Oxford Street and between Portland Place and fashionable Marylebone Village, Chandos House, the Royal Society of Medicine’s (RSM) second home is not just renowned for Weddings and Celebrations, it is also a popular destination for those looking for a boutique-style hotel style accommodation in London.

Nevertheless, if you are planning an event or to host your wedding at Chandos House it is good to know that this beautifully restored Georgian townhouse nestled in the heart of London will host your event and feed them well under the careful guidance of Paul Kennison – Executive Head Chef. Chandos House was extensively refurbished in 2004, retaining the features of the original Robert Adam House design.

The bedrooms and bathrooms offer the very best in hospitality. They are luxurious and well presented, and some contain the renowned Adam fireplaces.

All the bedrooms at Chandos House are individually designed and furnished; they include two suites; the King George III Room and the Chinese Room. They all have flat screen colour televisions (with built in Freeview box), direct dial telephones, en-suite bathrooms, ample desk space, Wi-Fi internet, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge offering a small selection of beverages and wines. Inclusive within the room rate is a continental breakfast buffet which is served in the impressive Terrace Room with its high ceilings and Venetian style windows overlooking the walled Garden Terrace.

They have a 24-hour reception team that are always available to help and assist you to ensure your stay at Chandos House is very comfortable.

For private dining and events, it is good to know that the grade I listed building which was built in 1769-1771 and designed by Robert Adam, a prominent architect in Georgian Britain has been the scene of some numerous lavish parties during the early 19th Century. It is therefore no wonder that the boutique style hotel, allows for the exclusive hire of all of the function rooms for weddings and other weekend celebrations.
