The state-of-the-art Gym at the One Spa, Sheraton Grand Hotel, Edinburgh
You can start your One Spa day at the state-of-the-art Gym equipped with the latest Technogym cardio and resistance equipment which forms the core of the One Spa offering. Trained fitness instructors are on hand to offer individual assessment and ongoing support. If machines are not your thing, you can tone, balance and strengthen your body at the fitness studio through yoga, pilates or circuit training.

Wet rooms
If you need to get wet to get fit, then the spa has four categories of breathtaking wet rooms
A 19m infinity swimming pool awaits you with loungers and two aromatic Cleopatra baths and then up on the rooftop is the stainless steel hydropool, an indoor-outdoor warm water experience with a variety of body jets providing mineral rich water to rebalance the body’s essential core.

The Thermal Suite
The Thermal Suite has a range of heat and cooling experiences which cleanse the body and sooth aching muscles. The thermal suite is home to the Hamman, which provides a scented steam environment to clear the senses, the Aroma Grotto with its steam infused aromatherapy and herbal extracts to enhance the complexion and hair. The Rock Sauna is a classic sauna that has a purifying effect on the body. Then there is the Bio Sauna offers a combination of heat and humidity infused with an orange essence to create a more gentle experience and enhanced with coloured fibreoptic lights.
Other facilities include the Laconium with its gentle and dry heat, the Tepidarium releases body toxins and relaxing the muscles through its individual thermal couches and the lifestyle showers which provide cold mist or scented tropical rain to refresh the mind and cool the body.

The Rooftop Hydropool
This is my favourite place. It has both indoor and outdoor areas. The panoramic view from the hydropool is fascinating. You can relax in the seat of body jets providing rich mineral waters at the optimal temperature for the body to rebalance
Escape at One
This is where you can totally immerse yourself in relaxation. It incorporates a 19m swimming pool, Cleopatra Baths and Gym. If you are having a treatment and thoroughly want to experience the Escape at One programme, it is advisable to arrive 60 minutes before your appointment so that you can reach optimum relaxation

Spa Café
Dining here is informal and creates the ideal place to relax between treatments. The cuisine is designed to be both tasty and nutritious, with the menu, featuring high-energy light meals, herbal infusions, energisers and smoothies.

The One spa has 17 multi-purpose spa treatment rooms, a wet plinth room specially designed for salt & oil treatment scrubs. The wet plinth room incorporates a heated stone treatment bed which helps to relax the muscles. Treatments offered at One Spa stimulate all the five senses and help to release latent energies and rebalance the physical and mental being. It offers a natural balance of energy, water and heat in a beautiful, light-filled space. It is advisable to arrive at about 30 minutes before your first spa treatment so that you can allow yourself sufficient time to change into your robe & slippers and unwind in the relaxation area.
