If your idea of dining out is to eat good tasty food, in excellent portions amidst a great ambiance then Joe’s Southern Kitchen and Bar in Covent Garden, is just the place to wine and dine.
Gone are the days of Navajo Joe, Joe’s Southern kitchen and bar has re-incarnated and sailed out of the shadows of Navajo Joe with a series of tempting cocktails, an exciting menu of Southern hospitality and London finesse. The restaurant is situated on three levels within London’s theatre district in Covent Garden. This is where diners seeking to enjoy flavoursome, succulent and belly filling American style meals go to appreciate the good food prepared by the chefs of the long established Maxwells Restaurant Group.
Brian Stein opened Maxwell’s in Hampstead during the early 1970s, when it was practically impossible to find a decent burger or grill in London and this turned out to be a huge success. Maxwell’s moved to the West End in the 1980s, and the group expanded in to Covent Garden and beyond, now boasting eight venues, including Café De Paris, PJ’s Bar and Grill and Roadhouse.
Head Chef, Mark Jeevaratnam has created some mouth-watering, hearty dishes originating from Louisiana, North Carolina and Alabama. Each dish has been developed from original recipes, with Mark adding a sophisticated edge to these home-cooked favourites by using high quality ingredients, careful flavour pairing, and imaginative presentation.
